Job Description

DCS Corporation is seeking an innovative, experienced Program Manager for a fast-paced Army Program Office.

Essential Job Functions:

Responsible for all aspects of managing a staff of approximately 20 program and technical management and communications specialists in an on-site Army Program Office environment.

Manages assigned tasks by interfacing with subordinate commands and engaging in program management to include acquisition and budgeting support.

Oversees contractual and technical aspects Army headquarters organization support and management of a geographically dispersed contract preferred.

Employs knowledge and experience in work planning, budget control, resource management methods and procedures required.

Provides day-to-day direction for a group of subordinates.

Provides expert functional guidance to employees.

Interfaces with Government management to resolve problems.

Establishes priorities of work to subordinates based on Government goals and objectives.

Serves as the interface between Government customer and Contractor.

Performs other PM direct support functional roles.

Distributes and balances workload in accordance with established workflows and assures timely accomplishment of the assigned workload.

Gives on the job training to new employees in accordance with established procedures and practices.

Leads the team in assessing its strengths and weaknesses and provide leadership to the team in exploring alternatives and determining improvements.

Articulates and communicates to the team the assignment, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, suspenses and time frames for completion.

Assigns work to personnel according to workload, ability and priority of assignment and provides instruction and assistance as necessary on problems or issues.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and at least 20 years of direct, relevant experience managing cost, schedule and performance on similar US Government contracts.

Active DoD clearance is required.

Ability to plan, direct, and coordinate administrative activities, program control, and supervision of personnel involved in support of a Program Executive Office.

Strong understanding of policies and procedures involved in program support, audit preparation and staffing and coordinating Army documentation.

Proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint and MS Project required.

Work is in a general office environment, however some lifting and/or moving up to 25lbs required.

Travel (CONUS) up to 10% of time.

Desired Skills:

Knowledge of related Army acquisition entities is preferred.

Experience working as an officer or civilian for an Army headquarters or acquisition element preferred.
