This position can be remote or hybrid which will require the candidate to report and work from the office two days a week. Hybrid candidates should be within a 50-minute radius from Temple, TX.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this remote position is $90,000 to $100,000, based on qualifications and experience. This role is also eligible to participate in the annual incentive plan with a target incentive of 12.5% of your base annual salary. Application support of Restaurant Distribution business including definition, analysis, coding, testing, & implementation of various sized projects. Provide on-call 24/7 on a rotation basis. Ability to assume project leadership responsibilities for assigned projects. Be knowledgeable, or be willing/able to become knowledgeable, of the Restaurant Distribution industry.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Other duties may be assigned. A teammate in this position must have the ability to:

  • Create documentation when appropriate.
  • Provide detailed status updates when needed.
  • Log accurate information into the time-tracking system.
  • Support all applications.
  • Continuously learn new tools, environments and acquire new skills to maintain and enhance job performance.
  • Ensure McLane Methodology is followed.
  • Ensure requirements and development deliverables match the design specifications.
  • Ensure that the test plans match the requirements.
  • Ensure that the test results match the test plans.
  • Provide high-level and detailed estimates.
  • Provide high-level and detailed developer specifications.
  • Create an appropriate test environment for the project team to work with and validate the delivered solutions.
  • Develop and test solutions using the McLane development tools in the development environment that meet McLane standards.
  • Provide the appropriate implementation documentation for installs.
  • Manage and execute the system-testing process and UAT process.
  • Support the implementation and post-implementation activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
A teammate in this position must have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, related experience.
  • Have 4-5 years of broad-based experience in specific and related disciplines of the business.
  • Ability to work independently and with other team members.
  • 5+ years solid programming experience with JDEdwards World software & RPG programming in an iSeries environment using skills/technologies identified below.
  • A minimum of 3 years senior-level experience working with & supporting medium to large projects.
  • Experience in all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle.
  • Candidate must possess good verbal & written communication skills.
  • Extensive experience coding in various versions of RPG, including RPGII/III/IV/ILE on an iSeries platform.
  • Experience with Turnover, CL, SQL, Jira, & various MicroSoft tools (ex: MS Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
  • PREFERRED: Coding experience with JDEdwards World Software & experience with DSI DcLink.
