Who You'll Work With
You'll work with McKinsey's Healthcare Practice, a group of approximately 600 colleagues, including more than 250+ clinicians across North America.

You will also work with a diverse group over 1,500 data scientists, mathematicians, designers, software engineers, data engineers, and product developers to bring the best thinking, technology, and impact to our clients.
You will also work with leaders at leading payors, providers, and health services technology organizations in the public and private sectors to tackle today's biggest healthcare challenges.
What You'll Do
You will work as a strategic thought partner with Healthcare leadership to shape the long-term vision and strategy for our Clinical and Risk Excellence domain which focuses on scaling our care model and value based care capabilities for impact.

You will help identify client needs that require value based care clinical insight or expertise and translate them into business priorities while ensuring the care model integrity of the work that we do as a practice in both product and client service delivery.
You will help to lead the development and deployment of clinical and value based care assets that incorporate value based care strategies and insights into the work we do with clients and expand our intellectual property. Your experience and expertise will ensure our products, recommendations, and implementations are of high quality and reflect clinical evidence where needed.
Qualifications
  • MD degree and current (or previous) licensure and board certification required
  • Clinical delivery experience as a primary or specialty care provider
  • 5+ years full-time experience with leading clinical operations of value based care clinics
  • Experience building clinical communities, a strong clinical network, and ability to counsel and influence senior clinical business leaders (e.g., CMOs)
  • Ability to collaborate and design successful care models with business leaders of organizations and their patients
  • Ability to lead the development and deployment of digital and analytic assets grounded in value based care
  • Experience with healthcare data (e.g., claims, EHR, outcomes data) and analytics methodologies (e.g., advanced excel, SQL, python, R, statistical packages)
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a keen interest and drive in developing an economically viable professional entity that can grow in the market
  • Passionate about making healthcare better via clinical care delivery, value based care and outcome focused strategies and technology enablement
  • Eager to learn and use the McKinsey consulting approach
  • Good steward of resources, with a track record of using resources effectively

Factors like your office location, your unique blend of experience and skills, and our current organizational needs all play a part in determining the final figure. Certain roles are also eligible for bonuses, subject to McKinsey's discretion and based on factors such as individual and/or organizational performance.
