This is a hybrid position which will require the candidate to report and work from the office two days a week. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute radius from Temple, TX.

Become part of a team that produces innovative web, and service-oriented solutions to add value and savings to our business processes. Design, develop, and maintenance of Java enterprise web applications, iOS and Android mobile applications, and web services for internal and external customers. Ability to work in an on-call rotation and provide after hour support.

Design, estimate, develop, document, and implement well tested solutions that satisfy the requirements of each application development request within the allocated time and budget for each request.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Other duties may be assigned. A teammate in this position must have the ability to:

  • Design & Development: Craft and maintain web applications with Angular and Java, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and user experience.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, product owners, and fellow developers to convert business needs into robust technical solutions.
  • Code Quality: Produce clean, efficient, and well-documented code, while adhering to best practices and industry standards.
  • Problem-Solving: Debug, troubleshoot, and enhance applications for optimal performance and reliability.
  • Peer Review: Engage in code reviews, offering and receiving constructive feedback to elevate the quality of our codebase.
  • Continuous Learning: Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement in our applications and workflows.
  • Team Support: Foster a supportive team environment, contributing to the collective success and growth of our team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
A teammate in this position must have:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years as a Full Stack Developer, with a strong focus on Typescript, Java languages to build enterprise web and mobile applications.
  • Technical Proficiency: Solid grasp of web development technologies: Open Liberty, Docker, Node.js, Maven, (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript), JSON/XML.
  • Java RESTful API Expertise: Proficient in one or more frameworks building enterprise API's. (Quarkus, Spring, Hibernate).
  • Typescript Web Expertise: Proficient in one or more frameworks building enterprise web sites. (Angular, React, Vue).
  • Mobile Cross-platform Expertise: Proficient in one or more frameworks building iOS/Android mobile applications. (NativeScript, React Native, Ionic).
  • Database Expertise: Proficiency with Oracle, MongoDB and Couchbase.
  • DevOps Expertise: Solid grasp of Git, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Azure, OpenShift and CI/CD build pipelines.
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities and analytical mindset.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
