What's the role?

As a Manager, Customer Repair Center , you get to work with an astonishing team that plays a vital role in Medical equipment repair . Show case your skills and experience with process enhancement

The Manager of the Customer Repair Center is responsible for managing the resources required to repair and/or refurbish all products in support of Customer Care initiatives and actions. This manager implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans and performance requirements. Manages two or more teams with direct supervisors reporting to this role. Responsible for process improvement and management of special systems related projects. Ensures work instructions are documented, current and appropriate to the task.

* Develop and implement department goals and objectives given broad strategic direction

* Develop business process to improve the speed and quality of the repair operation and to add value to the overall customer experience

* Integrate new products or businesses into the CRC portfolio on agreed timelines

* Manage and coordinate the repair/refurbishment and testing of all products returned from the field.

* Collect and analyze data to determine root cause of field failures for CI initiatives

* Responsible for budgeting, cost maintenance, capital equipment and personnel for CRC.

* In conjunction with QA, establish and maintain GMP/ISO controls for quality and reliability of products. Evaluate and establish specific repair processes where strategic value can be obtained. This includes electronic, mechanical and optical technologies.

* Develop and implement facilities requirements for CRC.

* Develop cost reduction, quality and process improvement programs.

* Establish appropriate goals and objectives for asset utilization and efficient work flow

* Support the implementation of new business systems (ERP,CRM, PDM etc)

Do you qualify?

* BS degree in Business or degree in another applicable curriculum, preferred.

* 10 years of increasingly responsible manufacturing or repair experience.

* Inventory Control, EDP systems to include MRP, JIT experience.

* Must have good analytical skills and excellent verbal and written skills.

* Excellent personnel and motivational skills.

The annual pay range for this position:

  • SF Bay Area $121,000 -$151,200.

The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.

This position is also eligible for a performance bonus or sales commissions. ZEISS also offers robust benefits, including medical plans, retirement savings plan and paid time off.
