Responsibilities

Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) is seeking an IT Business Analyst in our Waco, TX location. join the ERP systems support team supporting our Industrial division. The right candidate will have experience with Infor Baan / ERP LN or other mid-market ERP systems such as QAD, M3, Epicor, or Sage. The candidate will review, analyze, and evaluate business processes and organizational needs with a focus on business process automation. In this role, the candidate is responsible for working with key business stakeholders and IT developers to identify and automate business process. These business processes are found in the core operations disciplines of manufacturing, like planning, cost accounting, shipping/receiving and operations management. The candidate will create training documentation, work instructions, testing packages, and technical specifications for internal and external developers. The candidate will need to interact directly with business owners and users, as well as other functional Business Analysts, Project Managers, and support staff. The candidate will propose; automation solutions integrating ERP, secondary systems, and business processes, plus the candidate will guide these recommendations to implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement business process automation opportunities.
  • Participate as a team member supporting Baan and ERP LN and its related systems.
  • Work directly with internal customers to analyze and document existing business processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Work directly with internal customers to determine business processes improvements and system modifications.
  • Identify and gather business requirements using; use cases, data modeling, process modeling, context diagrams, systems diagrams, etc.
  • Develop functional specifications, test cases, and test plans for system modifications.
  • Responsible to test system changes within specified functional areas, and regression testing.
  • Develop and maintain expertise related to Baan and ERP LN and its related systems.
  • Provide end-user support for Baan and ERP LN, using current internal support processes and tools.
  • Create and manage support tickets and coordinate support activities as needed.
  • Develop and provide end user training.
  • Act as the liaison between the sites, technology teams and support teams.
  • Act as an expert on manufacturing data relating to shop floor processes, engineering, and planning functions.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley Act and internal audit requirements.
  • Support compliance efforts by implementing and maintaining necessary controls and processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and address any potential risks or deficiencies.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in IT or business-related discipline.
  • Three years' experience with ERP Systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Three years' experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in IT.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency using Microsoft PowerApps/Power Automate and/or RPA technology.
  • Experience with Infor Baan, ERP LN or other mid-market ERP systems.
  • Experience in deploying automation solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong requirements gathering skills (interviewing business owners and operational users).
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
