Description

This is a new role to the enterprise. As a Senior Change Agent, you'll partner with our Retail and Restaurant divisions by leading, training, and implementing the principles of Lean Six Sigma and performance management. Senior Change Agents also lead the ongoing change management process to ensure the new principles are supported, communicated, and well-trained, creating sustainability for the long-term.

  • Partner with division leadership teams to drive change management across the company.
  • Develop and enhance tools (e.g., performance dashboard, production planning tool, etc.), systems, and processes (e.g., daily huddles, process confirmations, etc.) for roll-out across the enterprise.
  • Lead manager capability building sessions and coach frontline leaders on how best to leverage tools to drive performance.
  • Track impact of change and resolve unforeseen issues when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other safety standards.
  • Ensure that warehousing and transportation procedures offer the cost-effective solutions that will drive profitability.
  • Facilitate communication within the management team.
  • Track, trend and modify key performance indicators.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Work Experience
    • 10 or more years of experience in outbound and inbound warehousing, preferably a McLane distribution center
    • Previous Director/VP experience
    • McLane leadership experience highly preferred
    • Open to pursuing their previous or new opportunities within the company at the conclusion of their role within the operational excellence project.
    • Display the potential of a future leader who would benefit from experience outside their DC
  • Cultural Fit
    • Must be willing to take risks such as challenging status quo and making suggestions to benefit McLane.
    • Must display leadership characteristics to engage, excite, and influence others to adopt the changes being presented.
  • Practical Skills
    • Have the knowledge of using systems related to McLane warehouse operations and have experience with effectively using Microsoft Office365 including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams
    • Be able to write reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, and inter-company memos/outside correspondence
    • Be able to read, analyze, and interpret business and technical engineered labor standards.
    • Have knowledge of distribution and supply chain systems
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, vendors, and teammates.
    • Ability to teach and coach others and a willingness to adapt to different personal styles.
    • Must be able to spend considerable amounts of time on the floor of a distribution center and transportation office and ability to work at various heights via multi-level mezzanines.

Work Environment

  • This is a heavy-travel position with significant overnight travel.
  • The work is in the distribution center.
  • This position is fully remote outside of the travel requirements.
