Description

This position is an entry-level Shop Service Technician intern and will be under the direct guidance of an experienced Service Supervisor to receive on-the-job training. The intern's primary purpose is to learn and develop an understanding of the overall t Service Department operation.

Expectations:

  • Will attend company-instructed classroom courses as required
  • Complete online safety training and attend regular safety meetings
  • Adhere to all safety policies and guidelines
  • Receive coaching, mentoring, and feedback from Service leadership
  • Must maintain a satisfactory performance

On-the-job training curriculum may include:

  • Perform maintenance on heavy equipment
  • Help install, repair, and replace mechanical and electronic components
  • Clean and/or lubricate machines
  • Examine and test equipment, components, and parts to ensure the proper functioning
  • Adjust, connect, or disconnect wiring, piping, tubing, and other parts, using hand or power tools
  • Adjust, maintain, and repair equipment and machine components

REQUIREMENTS:

  • The candidate must be a current student enrolled in college or a diesel technical program.
  • Must have a valid driver license
  • Must be able to work in a shop environment
  • Must be able to work in a team
